Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence means being smarter with feelings.  It’s about putting together the rational and emotional data so you can move forward effectively.

According to Daniel Goleman, one key benefit is that “emotional intelligence can help people make better decisions.” This increased effectiveness is invaluable for business, essential for education, and transformational for personal life.

SEI-EQ Assessments

The SEI-EQ Assessments are effective measures that help people develop and apply emotional intelligence professionally and personally. The SEI suite includes a self-assessment for Adults and Youth (aged 8-18 years). These assessments are global, scientific and practical that facilitates performance. There are three key pursuits as mentioned below:

  • Awareness: Getting aware and tuning into emotional data.
  • Management: Do not react, respond to emotions.
  • Direction: Leading a purposeful life.

SEI-Adult Emotional Intelligence Assessment

Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence (SEI-AV) online self-assessment, measures key emotional intelligence competencies that drive influence, decision making, effectiveness, relationships, health, and quality of life.  The reports are based on the powerful Six Seconds EQ Model and provide a roadmap for increasing performance.

  • Brain Profiles – The brain profiles (Brain style, talents and discovery) are insightful one-page snapshots of your brain’s styles and talents to effectively use emotional plus cognitive data.
    • Brain Style: How does your brain focus, decide, and drive?
    • Brain Talent Profile: What are your brain’s key strengths for creating the future?
    • Brain Discovery Profile: How are your style, strengths, and challenges creating results?
    • Dashboard: What is the EQ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for a group or team?
  • Leadership Report – The leadership report is for leaders and managers. It focuses on eight EQ competencies that drive people-performance in a context of key performance outcomes (effectiveness, relationships, wellbeing, and quality of life).  It tells level of emotional intelligence, your strengths and weaknesses. It tells what is blocking individual performance and how one can develop it.
  • Development Report – The development report is for individuals that drills into all eight competencies with detailed suggestions to foster growth and change for a wide range of audiences.

SEI-Youth Emotional Intelligence Assessment

Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence (SEI-YV) provides a snapshot of emotional intelligence in youth aged between 8-18 years. The SEI-YV profile provides youth, parents, teachers, and counselors with a powerful tool for growth.

The SEI-YV assessment provide following reports –
  • Brain Profiles for Youth– This is one-page profile about the child’s approach to emotional intelligence, and/or key talents as a change maker. The Youth “Brain Brief Profile” offers a quick, practical way to introduce EQ and help children understand their style of how they focus, make decisions, and drive themselves.
    • Brain Brief Profile: How does your brain focus, decide, and drive?
    • Brain Talent Profile: What are your brain’s key strengths for creating the future?
    • Dashboard: What is the EQ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for a group, team, or class?
  • SEI-YV EQ Profile – The SEI-YV begins with an assessment of important life-outcomes – the “Barometers of Life” which include Good Health, Relationship Quality, Life Satisfaction, Personal Achievement, Self-Efficacy, and an overall composite.
  • The SEI pYV is available for children of any age — it provides a report about a child from the perspective of an adult who knows the child well. The pYV uses a similar structure to the YV, but instead of self-assessment, the pYV offers an assessment by another person, as parent or teacher.
